Just fictional short stories I have started.

September 23, 2010 in Stories

A fiery wave swept over her as she washed the dishes from dinner.  She suddenly thought of him sitting cozy on the sofa with his wife.  The thought of the two of them curled up together not only sickened her, but almost sent her shadow into a dark and tormented rage.  She couldn’t wait to see him again.  She plotted and planned as she scrubbed the pan that held her families dinner.  She was struggling as a single mom and now she was struggling to control the very depths of her soul. What kind of man would lure a woman into loving him and then run back home to another fly he had wrapped up in his web?
They had spent a glorious week together out along the beaches of Cancun.  Then she returned home only to find out that it had all been a scam.  Just another bump in the road to love.  She hadn’t fell off the turnip truck the week before this happened so why did she let herself fall so hard for a total jerk? She keep running it over and over in her mind.  Lindsey was a small framed woman with tiny delicate features.  Her hair was long and sparkled with light as she ventured out for her daily walks.  Her kids were in junior high and had begun to spend inordinate amounts of time with their friends, which was leaving Lindsey with a large amount of free time to fill.  After 14 years of being needed she no longer had that role to fill.  She spent her first vacation alone in Orlando but decided that this year she would venture beyond the borders of her country to somewhere a little more exotic and maybe even romantic.  Her girls teased her all week prior to leaving by telling her that she was going to meet a sizzling Don Juan and marry him while she was there, but Lindsey would laugh at that preposterous thought. Not in a million years was her response.  She liked her life.  Peaceful and drama free described her days and evenings.  She had no need for a man or anything along the lines of love to interrupt that.
As she got off the plane in Cancun, the airport reminded her that not all countries are as blessed as hers is.  But it had adventure written all over it.  That uncertain feeling that falls in the pit of your stomach when you are in an environment that has no comforts or anchors to what you consider safe.  But it was intriguing and so was the man she saw standing by the taxi.  He was tall and had broad shoulders with a slim waist.  His face was tan and chiseled perfectly so that as the sun shown across his brow it almost split his face into two sections. One was bright and tanned.  The other was darker and mysterious, cloaked by the shadows.  He had full hair that had been cut short on the sides and was thicker across the top which fell in many different directions as he moved.  But his eyes were deep and reflected a more tender soul beneath them.  Not exactly a Don Juan, but not too bad either she thought.  She pulled out her cell phone and started to take a picture of him and the taxi.  She hadn’t thought about the fact that he was looking straight at her.  Just as she clicked the photo capture button on the phone she realized he saw her and smiled the hottest smile she had seen in 15 years.  Blushing from her face to her toes she smiled back.  ”Welcome to Cancun,” he said with a grand smile.  Lindsey was still red faced as she thanked him for the greeting.  She quickly tried to explain that she was photographing the taxi so that she could show her girls when she got home, but she kept stumbling over the words and was even more embarrassed by her awkwardness.

Sunday Morning Rest…

September 5, 2010 in Fun

Making my self a “To-do” list today and at the tippy top of it I am putting rest….seems like we go all week needing rest and looking forward to the weekend, then the weekend gets here and we spend it busy cleaning and working.  So when Monday morning rolls around we are still just as tired as we were on Friday evening…lol
So my first task for today is to rest, then later we can work on the yard and pool, and what ever other chores we have.
I am dying to scrapbook, but haven’t really had time.  I get on facebook and check on all my friends and my games and it is time for other stuff, I need a day with NOTHING to do in it…lol
IF wishes were fishes, we would live in a sea…lol
I’ve seen some great sites while I was stumbling lately too, but haven’t had time to share them…maybe I can get the list and post it here soon too.
My boys are pestering me to design them a car in Car Town so they can have a cool ride…lol  I did a school mascot type design for one of my boys, now I have to do more…lol
Here they all are so far:

THis is my sprite truck…it is the milk truck on here.

This is my DigitalGator Designs truck, it was made from a Taco Truck.

This is my other ice cream truck, that is very hot…lol  It says “THere is NO ice cream in Hell” on the back…lol

This is a VW Bug that I designed for our friend who wanted his favorite brand on it…lol

Got a few more but gotta run for now.

First one up….

August 15, 2010 in Uncategorized

I love to be the first one up on any given morning, but on the weekend it is premo-relaxation time…lol
Just sit here and drink my coffee, play on the computer, and enjoy the gentle snores that I can hear coming from the rooms of the house. Just me and the kitty cats are all the stirs this early on a weekend morning. I guess I wake up early on the weekend because I get up early all week?
I have some awesome pictures to upload too, just need a few minutes to squish them so they will upload faster and not eat my whole band width allotment for the day up…lol
Hope you all have a blessed week and get much scrapping done!
Hugs~
